Our preschoolers' end-of-year celebrations

In June our preschoolers say goodbye to the kindergarten. At our kindergarten in Branka Bajića Street the children presented their year-long project “Around the World”, and at our kindergarten in Alekse Šantića Street they put on a music-and-dance spectacular, with graduation caps, diplomas and balloons.

The music room

A parent's visit and one very special instrument — the ukulele. The children got to see the instrument up close and, best of all, try it themselves.

White coats

A visit to a real laboratory. Children in white coats and gloves running an experiment.

Sport and diplomas

Sport is twice a week for the middle, older and oldest groups. It ends with diplomas handed out in the yard.

Our little bazaar

The children sold their own toys, and parents brought clothes, presents and other things we carefully collected. We took the children not only gifts, but the feeling that somebody truly thinks of them. They learned what it means to share, to help and to think of others.

Our little garden

Together with parents and teachers, the children sowed flowers and wrote a sign.

“The children, together with their parents and teachers, ask you to look after this patch of earth where we have sown flowers, so that your surroundings and ours are lovelier.”

The Recycle-o-matic

For Earth Day the costumes are made of cardboard and recycled material.

Welcome to our yard

Every day the children love spending time on the swings, slides, climbing frames, in the sandpits and the wooden playhouses…

When little hands create

With lots of imagination, play and creativity, the children make little bits of magic with their own hands — from bees and Easter bunnies to rainbows, planets and windmills. Every piece is special because it was made by their own hands.

Honey from our bees

The theme week about bees ends with a tasting of acacia honey.

Outings

We pay special attention to time spent in nature and to getting to know the world around the children. Through puppet shows, workshops in nature and visits to farms, the children get to know village life and its natural surroundings — to explore, play and enjoy the fresh air.

New Year celebrations

Three days in a row: welcoming Father Frost, a fancy-dress party and a sweet day in the little kitchen.

Snow days

Snow in the yard: sliding down the slide, a snowman and snow angels.

The penguin dance

The penguin dance, our way — the whole group in a line, step by step.

Shadow theatre

A shadow theatre performed by our teachers: the play “A Little Coat for the Hedgehog”.

The traffic-light song

A song about the traffic light, sung to the accordion — with a rule that sticks: “The light goes on, the light goes off, so always look out!”

Little pharmacists

On an exciting visit to a pharmacy, the children learned what a pharmacist does and, with a little play and exploration, took home their own “Little Pharmacist” diplomas.

Easter joys

The children love making Easter decorations.
